This panorama, taken on October 10, 2017, captures the opening face-off of the inaugural game for the Vegas Golden Knights against Pacific Division rival Arizona Coyotes®. With the addition of its 31st franchise, the NHL® became the first of the four major North American professional sports leagues to place a team in Las Vegas. Interest and enthusiasm for a professional hockey team in "Sin City" is high and season tickets for 17,500 seat arena are sold out. The team nickname, knights, was chosen because they are the epitome of the warrior class, are team-oriented, always stick together, never give up and never give in. Hockey players exhibit these same qualities.
