Celebrating the iconic ballparks of yesterday and today, this vintage print shows the historic ballparks of Minnesota. Printed using archival inks on heavyweight paper, these prints are rated to be light fast for 72 years under glass.
The copy reads:
METROPOLITAN STADIUM (EARLY) 1961-1981 If you build it, they will come. Originally built as a minor league park in 1956, it succeeded in luring a major league team when the Washington Senators moved to Minnesota.
METROPOLITAN STADIUM (LATE) 1961-1981 At the very end of its life the upper deck was cordoned off due to poorly maintained railings. The Mall of America stands at the site today.
HUBERT H. HUMPHREY METRODOME 1982-2009 Possibly the greatest home field advantage in the history of the game.
TARGET FIELD Est. 2010 The tighter urban layout of all parks, it’s connected to all manner of transportation.
