This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, captured a State Farm Center record crowd of 17,087 fans, as the Illinois Fighting Illini hosted the Michigan Wolverines in a Big Ten Conference match-up. With a pregame fireworks display and an Orange Out promotion, the crowd was fired up from the start. The game was a defensive battle throughout and the Illini found themselves trailing by 7 with 3:13 left in regulation. The men in orange and blue then went on a 21-0 run to capture a thrilling 64-52 overtime victory. The State Farm Center atmosphere was electric as the Fighting Illini completed the improbable comeback. This photo captures a critical layup that put the game away in overtime.
